ARRL Field Day 2009

Denton County Emergency Services building

9060 Teasley Lane (FM2181)

Denton, TX

ARRL Field Day

Come join our club and thousands of our fellow Ham Radio operators in showing what we can do in terms of emergency communications.

Here's a map of the setup location.

We will be showcasing our digital and satellite capabilities, voice communications and even historical Morse code. We will have our emergency communications trailer, the Denton County Mobile Operations Center, and the County vehicle assigned to ARES and CERT operations on hand for you to tour. The Denton County Emergency Operations Center will also be activated as part of our Field Day activities.

Public Invited!!!

You do not have to be a licensed Radio Operator to participate. Amateur Radio operators will be there to demonstrate equipment and show you how it is used. They will try to answer your questions. There is no age limit with Amateur Radio, so bring your entire family. (No charge for admission)

The Field Day site will be open to the public from Noon to 6:00 PM Saturday and you may drop by at any time. Weather will not postpone Field Day.
