The League of Elmers
Amateur Radio in Denton County has a handful of extraordinary individuals who are willing to partake of their time in order to aid and assist others in expanding their knowledge and enjoyment of our hobby. These intrepid souls have banded together to form the League of Elmers.
No question is too trivial, no help is too small or too large. If you need a lot of guidance or just a nudge or two, contact Gene at at arrl.net. He can pair you with a member of the League for extended help or get you over a temporary hurdle toward your goal.
Gene (W5DDW)
Coordinator for the League of Elmers
Gene is an Amateur Extra Class Operator with almost 40 years of experience. His principal interest is in HF CW and Digital modes including JT65A. He also enjoys repairing, restoring and operating vintage radios and building QRP equipment and antennas. But his greatest enjoyment comes from helping others attain their goals in Ham Radio, where he sees himself as much the learner as the mentor. You may contact Gene at at arrl.net.
